The Fund may fund or co-fund research projects, fellowships, workshops related to research and/or training of scientists, doctors and students within haemophilia and/or related disciplines (e.g., selected topics within haematology) and technologies (e.g., mammalian cell biology, stem cells, developmental biology, gene technology and gene therapy). All activities funded by the Fund must be research related. Such activities should preferably and if possible include an element of cooperation between scientists or students at the Chinese institution and scientists at Novo Nordisk R&D. Participation of Danish Universities or other public academic institutions at their own cost is welcomed in all projects to be supported by the Fund.
Funding by the Fund may not cover all expenses related to a particular project and that the contribution from the Fund therefore in some cases will be an addition to existing or expected co-funding.
